Park City

The student division at Park City, Utah is designed for students ages 11 to 18. Acceptance and placement are determined by placement only. Promotions are considered on an individual basis and determined in part by an examination demonstrated at the end of the school year and an evaluation by the Ballet West Academy Director and Principal of the Campus. Students in this division can expect to spend more than one year in each level.

Level 1
Park City

  • Upon completing the essential requirements of training and successfully demonstrating appropriate skill level and maturity, students are ready for a more intense and challenging course of study. Female students at this level must show a structural capacity for pointe work and all students must possess ample strength and stamina.  All of the classes in our comprehensive curriculum are designed to best provide the skills necessary to pursue a career in dance. We believe in a healthy and nurturing approach to the development of each student. As the level of difficulty increases, so does the passion for the pursuit for excellence. As a result, every student’s advancement through the program is based on their ability rather than their age.

Current Contemporary
Performing Ensemble

Students can dive more deeply into contemporary techniques, creative processes, and performance opportunities with guest choreographers.

Available Options for High School

Ballet West Academy has cultivated relationships to provide education pathways for students still in high school. There are various online and in-person academic options that align with our training schedule.

Wellness Wednesdays

Allison DeBona, Principal of the Ballet West Academy Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus, is excited to continue the Wellness Wednesday master class series, powered by Intermountain Health!  This opportunity is exclusive and free of charge to currently enrolled students and their families, only.  None of these opportunities are mandatory, but she strongly urges students and their families to attend.   Together with the help of parents and guardians, Ballet West Academy can create a safe and healthy environment for its dancers. You can choose what days you'd like to participate during registration.

Allison DeBona's vision for the Park City Campus includes bringing a well-rounded and healthy approach to mentoring its students, and how she will operate the school at large.  The Wellness Wednesday series is designed to offer our students and their families an opportunity to meet and listen to healthcare professionals from Intermountain Health and leave with a guide on how to navigate three important topics for young athletes.  These classes are crafted specifically per age group and will be open to our Student Division, Levels 1-8. Parents or Guardians of our Beginner and Elementary level students are welcome to join.
