Ballet West Academy is thrilled to present dance camps for ages 3-14! There is something for everyone: fun themes and a range of age groups. Space is limited for each camp — no audition required!

Salt Lake City Summer Dance Camps

Join us this summer for a workshop filled with dancing, crafts, story time and make believe, designed for students ages 3-14. Students will walk away from this week of learning with fond memories, movement development, outstanding artwork, and fun costumes all of which will help them continue the adventure at home.

Fantasy Camp: A Cinderella Story
June 9 - 13, 2025
Ages 3-5

With four different themed weeks, parents have several choices for the enhancement of their children’s art, dance, and learning experience. Students will incorporate ballet-based movements and imaginative artwork to explore the world of fantasy! Each of these lively week-long camps concludes with a Friday performance.  Students will walk away from this week of learning with fond memories, movement development, outstanding artwork, and fun costumes--all of which will help them continue the adventure at home. 

    *All children must be able to use the bathroom independently without assistance.

Students will have daily ballet technique classes and learn how to create a performance, from the beginnings of an idea to its presentation on stage, including choreography, marketing, scenery, and production. The camp ends with a performance of the ballet, where the students exhibit all they have learned while creating the production. No dance experience needed. Students should bring a lunch or several snacks each day.

Salt Lake City Affiliate Camps

For the student, ages 6 and up, who would like a concentrated study in ballet, this program focuses on ballet technique and its complementary disciplines. Classes in technique, pointe & pre-pointe (where applicable), variations, repertoire from classical ballet, conditioning, and additional disciplines such as character and contemporary dance will give the young dancer an introduction to the curriculum of a ballet intensive program. The renowned Ballet West instructors, company dancers, and guest teachers will be featured in this workshop. Open to current students in designated Ballet West Academy levels or to the public by placement class.

BWA & SALT Summer Dance Camp
August 11 - 15, 2025

  • The best of dance in the region comes together to present a one-week summer camp for dancers August 11 - August 15, 2025. Held at the Jessie Quinney Lawson Ballet Centre in downtown Salt Lake City, this camp will include the best of ballet instruction provided by Ballet West Academy faculty and premiere contemporary instruction and choreography by SALT Contemporary Dance instructors. Designed to launch dancers into the fall with newfound movement and energy, this camp is for dancers ages 12 - 19.
